Snappy vs Smooth Video

July 25, 2018 6 Comments

Thanks for all the requests for specific videos. Here is the video showing how to get snappy departures on line without forcing or pushing for speed. Smooth departures are more important and can build to snappy if done as shown in the video. Comment below. Ask for more videos and we'll send you what you need to succeed!

Thanks for watching this video about snappy departures vs smooth departures. Be sure to share this with your friends.

Great exercise Don! I am always looking for relaxation in all we do so this is a good reminder for me to train for the response from my intention, not from my tool. Thanks for posting these wonderful and easy to follow techniques to help us all become better at what we try to do with/for our horses.

Thanks Don, that was a very timely video for me. My horse has gotten to where he will try to run off when I ask for a canter. I can see I’m asking too quickly and should be more patient. Reward when I finally get the canter (just a few steps at first). Don’t give up trying to get the canter and don’t get sharper if the canter doesn’t come quickly enough. Love it — no drama, no dust!! Would love a video showing this technique while riding.
