But I sometimes say let’s just take a break today and enjoy our company together. He loves that too. We are partners…. that’s what it’s all about. After years of riding competitively, I am now, at 71 yrs , literally standing beside our two horses who cannot be ridden. And my husband and I are enjoying this more every day. We do ground exercises with them and have watched them open up into real friends who trust us and look forward tp our company. Wish I had known this way to be friends with our horses years ago. Making up for it has become our reason to go to the barn every day. Thanks for your inspiring articles. We have two of your books, too.
